Request for Qualifications (RFQ): Fuel Reduction Contractors

Healthy Forest Alliance

The Healthy Forest Alliance is seeking qualified Fuel Reduction Contractors to support upcoming projects aimed at reducing wildfire risk and enhancing forest health. We invite experienced contractors to submit their qualifications for consideration.

Scope of Work:

Perform fuel reduction services, including but not limited to:
Thinning and removal of vegetation.
Creation and maintenance of defensible space zones.
Chipping, mastication, and slash disposal.
Operate in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring environmental and safety standards are met.
Provide equipment and personnel to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Collaborate with project managers to execute work plans and meet project timelines.
Qualifications:
Contractors must demonstrate the following:

Relevant experience in fuel reduction and wildfire mitigation projects.
Required licenses and certifications to perform fuel reduction work in California (e.g., California State Contractor’s License, defensible space certifications).
Proof of insurance, including general liability and worker's compensation.
Experience with environmental compliance and best practices for vegetation management.
References from recent, relevant projects.
