Event Description – Lewis Ranch Pile Burn (American River Conservancy Partnership)
Join the Healthy Forest Alliance On-Call Crew as we assist the American River Conservancy (ARC) with a community-based pile burning operation at Lewis Ranch. This project supports ongoing fuels reduction work that improves forest health, protects surrounding communities, and prepares the landscape for future good-fire treatments.
Crew members will help ignite, manage, and secure hand piles under the guidance of experienced burn leaders. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world prescribed fire experience, contribute to ecological restoration, and—if you have an open NWCG Task Book—complete trainee assignments in a supportive learning environment.
Your participation directly supports ARC’s stewardship efforts and advances good-fire practices across the region.
