COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is a skill course designed to produce student proficiency in the performance of the duties associated with Engine Boss, Single Resource (ENGB). Topics include engine and crew capabilities and limitations, information sources, fire size up considerations, tactics, and wildland/urban interface.

PREREQUISITES:
Completed SFT Firefighter 2 training; and successful completion of S-230, Crew Boss (Single Resource).

- Wildland Fire Incident Management Field Guide, PMS 210
- Single Resource Boss: Crew, Heavy Equipment, Engine, Felling, Firing, Helicopter Position Task Book, PMS 311-13
NOTES:
Participants enrolled in this courses will receive a Pre-study packet or online pre-study that must be completed prior to attending and available to the instructor at the beginning of the class.
